LodeStar turns inward to become "Molecularium" (April 2006)
Renowned for presenting the best and most advanced journeys through the vastness of the Universe, the LodeStar Astronomy Center is now turning inward to take audiences to the nanoscale (really, really small) world of atoms and molecules as it presents 'Molecularium.'

West Coast Premiere of Molecularium: Riding Snowflakes Opens at Chabot Space & Science Center (November 2006)
Designed to spark children’s interest in learning about the world of atoms and molecules, the exciting and entertaining full-dome digital planetarium show Molecularium:Riding Snowflakes makes its West Coast premiere at Chabot Space & Science Center beginning Friday, November 25 through June 30, 2006.

ACS President Views Molecularium as Part of National Chemistry Week (October 2005)
The president of the American Chemical Society (ACS) joined local scientists, educators, and area elementary school students on October 19 to view the Molecularium show at the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology.

“Molecularium: Riding Snowflakes” Wins Domie Award at DomeFest (July 2005)
“Molecularium: Riding Snowflakes”, a magical, musical adventure into the world of atoms and molecules, won the Domie Award for Best Show Excerpt at Domefest 2005 on Saturday night, July 16, 2005. “This is only the beginning,” responded V Owen Bush (NanoToon), Molecularium director.  Thirty-six submissions from nine countries were judged on aesthetics, innovation, storytelling, and full dome production quality.

Animated Atoms Turn Science Into Child’s Play (April 2005)
In the darkened planetarium of the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology in its new location in North Greenbush, scientists, dignitaries and animators waited anxiously for the audience reaction to their joint efforts; a new animated feature, Riding Snowflakes. Then, the audience of second graders obliged with giggles, laughter, “oohhs” and “aahhs” — exactly what the creators of the Molecularium project were looking for.

National Science Foundation: Presenting the Molecularium (April 2005)
Traditional planetarium shows take us on a virtual tour of stars, planets and galaxies: the outer universe. But recently, the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute premiered its new Molecularium show, a state-of-the-art, computer-generated animation that takes its viewers on a virtual tour of the inner universe—the atoms and molecules that constitute our world.
